Reading is hard.
Try anyway.

Nine rules. Honestly, just don’t be weird and you’ll be fine. We wrote them down anyway because some of you keep finding new ways to be weird.

01
RESPECT, MOSTLY
Knife Acer

Calling your mate a "donkey with knives for hands" while he's laughing? Beautiful. Comedy gold. Spam-typing creative interpretations of someone's mother's anatomy until they alt+F4 out of the game and reconsider their hobbies? Yeah, no. The vibe check is simple: if everyone involved is enjoying it, it's banter. If one of you is sobbing into a Discord DM, it's a problem. We can tell which is which. Mostly. We're not always sober.

02
DON'T BLOCK YOUR TEAMMATES
Knife Acer

Your teammate is mid-fight, takes a hit, tries to back up — and there you are. Standing in the corridor. Like a confused sheep. They die. You did this. They died because of you. Whether you did it on purpose or because you were emotionally lost in the moment, the result is identical: a friendly corpse and a grumpy admin. Move. Side-step. Crouch. Become liquid. Anything but standing perfectly still in your teammate's only escape route.

03
RESPECT THE RECOVERY
Knife Acer

Yes, we know — it's a knife server. But the same principle applies to finishing your stab animation. Player A wins a knife fight. Their character is mid-animation, recovering, BREATHING. You, player B, swing in and instantly delete them. Technically allowed by the engine. Spiritually criminal. Wait the half-second it takes for them to recover before you delete them. There's no honor in killing someone who isn't even pointing at you yet.

04
NO OVERTAKING DURING DM
Knife Acer

The queue is sacred. Whoever pushed first gets the kill. You do NOT — under any circumstances — yeet yourself past your teammate at the last possible millisecond, swoop in like a hungry seagull, and snatch their frag. We've all seen it. We have it on demo. Your name is filed under "shameful behaviour" in our records. Wait your turn. Be patient. The kills will come. Your turn always comes. Probably.

05
NO REPOSITIONING ON LOW HP (MIX)
Knife Acer

You engaged. You got hit. You're at 12 HP. You panic. You think to yourself "let me just sneak behind my teammates, surely they will absorb the next stab on my behalf." Stop. That's not a tactic, that's a war crime. That's volunteering your friends to die so you don't have to. Hold your position with the HP you've got. You committed to this fight, you face the consequences. Two healthy teammates can swap freely — they earned that right by not being terrible. But you, the wounded coward who left a trail of blood and regret? You stay where you fell. You become a brave little speed bump. You die where the universe intended. Honor demands it. The admins demand it. Your dignity, faintly, demands it.

06
NO LEAVING MID-MIX
Knife Acer

You voted yes. You queued up. You committed to the bit. Then you went 0-7, decided that suddenly, RIGHT NOW, "your mom is calling" / "the food is here" / "the dog needs a walk" — and you ALT+F4'd, killing the entire mix because no replacement was available. You absolute villain. You betrayer of teammates. We will see you tomorrow, after a 24-hour cooldown to think about what you did. If a sub IS available, fine, leave with our blessings. If not? Bye for a day. Admin force-starts are exempt — when an admin force-starts a mix and it goes sideways, that's their problem, their tears, their burden to carry into the night. They knew the risks when they pressed the button. Pour one out for them.

07
DON'T ABUSE THE HOOK
Knife Acer

The hook is for movement. For style. For doing sick mid-air twirls while your enemy stares in confused awe. The hook is NOT for slingshotting yourself behind some poor guy at supersonic velocity to backstab him before he can even render your model. We see you. Yes, it was kind of cool the first time. By the seventeenth time? Banned. Use the hook to go places. Not to commit assassinations. Spider-Man with a knife is not a personality.

08
DON'T EXPLOIT BUGS
Knife Acer

Found a glitch in one of our plugins where typing a command at the right moment gives you 50 HP, infinite hook charges, or makes the round end in your favor? Wow. Cool. Genuinely impressive detective work. Now please tell us about it in Discord like a functional adult, get credited, maybe even snag a small reward for your cooperation. Discovering an exploit is research. Using it ten rounds in a row to dominate the leaderboard is a war crime. We will know. The logs are merciless. Bugs are reported, not weaponized. Don't be the player who ruins something fun for everyone because you couldn't resist abusing it for one evening of mediocre glory.

09
NO CHEATING. NONE. ZERO.
Knife Acer

Speed hacks, distance hacks, knifebots, scripts, that "totally legit" config you downloaded from a sketchy Russian forum at 3 AM — all of these get you a permanent ban and a shameful little plaque in our metaphorical hall of fame. Speed hacks and distance hacks: instant ban, no second chances, the door locks behind you. Knifebot specifically requires confirmation from a head admin or owner — but once it's confirmed, your account is more banned than physically possible. Permanent. Forever. Your kids will inherit the ban. Their kids will inherit the ban. Future generations of your bloodline will boot up Counter-Strike, type your old SteamID, and be greeted by a single sad message: "you cannot connect, your great-grandfather used a knifebot in 2026." Don't be that ancestor.
